I have to admit, when I started Tango over 20 years ago, I found the music a bit strange. But today it's become a part of my life. Let's say I start the day with a good cup of coffee and Tango music (e.g. Argentine Tango Radio Budapest, Tango Radio Berlin, a vinyl record, or one of my playlists). Then I listen to Tango music in the car on my way to work, and if there's a Milonga, I dance to Tango music in the evening, or I DJ
Like most Tango DJs, I play most of the pieces from the golden era (most tango orchestras, the most danceable music), but of course the old guard and newer interpretations are also taken into account, and sometimes something European as well (we don't want to forget where we are). I also try to play a good mix of rhythmic, lyrical, and complex orchestral pieces, in an alternating pattern (Portfolio).

Tango has
been an inseparable part of my soul for well over 20 years. Almost from the
very beginning, I was also involved in playing and organising tango, simply
because back then there were no milongas in my city.
As a DJ, I primarily reach for the Grand Masters of the Golden Age and the final period of the guardia vieja, though my musical journey does not stop there. I focus on musical diversity, allowing everyone to find a little jewel for themselves, in harmony with the whole ronda. I personally and carefully restore old recordings, whenever today's technology allows us to get at least a little closer to the original sound.

Tango is not just a dance; it's a powerful expression of emotion and connection, and my love for it fuels my passion for music and milonguero embrace.
I embark on a journey to discover both timeless classics and innovative tracks, always searching for that perfect tanda that ignites inspiration on the dance floor. My deepening knowledge of tango music allows me to create sets that resonate with the spirit of the crowd. I have a keen ability to read the room, sensing the dancers' emotions and energy. This intuition empowers me to uplift the atmosphere with invigorating tracks when energy dips or to bring a sense of calm when things get too wild. Striking that harmonious balance is my mission.
And
of course, I am dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience by ensuring
top-notch sound quality.

Ruben
Marin’s tango journey began in the early 2000s, when he became captivated by
the many challenges of the dance: the magic of the embrace, the understanding
of connection, attentive listening, and the subtle communication between
partners. In the mid-2000s, he became increasingly involved in teaching and
made several trips to Buenos Aires to deepen his understanding of tango culture
and music.
For the past several years, Ruben has been active as a DJ at milongas throughout Sweden and Denmark. His musical selections are rooted primarily in the great tango orchestras of the Golden Age, while also making room for interpretations by contemporary orchestras and younger musicians, while also making room for interpretations by contemporary orchestras and younger musicians. His tandas—and even his cortinas—are carefully crafted from a broad repertoire spanning La Guardia Vieja and, above all, La Edad de Oro.
At the
heart of his DJing philosophy is the ability to read the room and adapt the
music to the dancers and the atmosphere on the floor. When the energy is right,
an occasional surprise may find its way into the evening’s musical journey. For
Ruben, every tanda has its own identity, tempo, and emotional tone.
